Work
Recent work includes leading the communications for a £10M research programme across six universities and 40 academics at the University of Bristol. With Julia's support, the Tackling the Root Causes of Unhealthy Urban Development (TRUUD) programme was successful in developing the right profile in a short time and influencing government policy.For the Department of Health and Social Care she managed communications planning for the adult social care sector during the the Covid-19 pandemic.With multiple schools and trusts Julia developed partnerships across education leaders to bring communications into termly planning and delivered local and national media coverage and advertising campaigns.These are just three examples from a varied career in communications working with senior politicians, civil servants and academics as well as professionals delivering services such as teachers, bus drivers and social workers.Julia has held senior communication roles with the University of Bristol, Bristol City Council, Transport for London and the Home Office.
